Aiya, Merdeka is just another public holiday ma !
It had been a decades of routine. The normal Merdeka routine that every Malaysian will hold in their heart. The national parade, the seven-shouts of Merdeka and every members of the nation, stands upright to sing the national anthem, Negaraku. However, I am talking about decades ago. When Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Abdul Razak or Tun Hussein Onn is still standing still on the stage, with pride, celebrating the nation's Independence Day.
Today, what we watch are not the truly Independence Day celebration. These are all just gimmicks, and the nation knew it, the citizens realised, the patriotism image is fading. Corruptions, collisions and combats are interfering the routine of the Malaysians. Where did all the spirit go ? Into money and cash. The source of all the problems.
I wrote this blog post, all thanks to the school's "Pertandingan Mencipta Puisi" which made me realised how much Malaysia had changed throughout these 53 years. I rather live with black and white televisions, using well water, use the old coal iron, rather than staying in the modern but lifeless lifestyle of Malaysia. I used to chit chat with all my neighbours, no matter they know me or not. They use to help me, no matter who are them or when it is. But everyone seems to be changing, changing into a beastly Malaysia, a Malaysia that I will not be proud of. There's once, I fell from the bicycle in my neighbourhood, whole crowd of neighbours, whom I do not even recognized, came out. No matter who they are, they are willing to help.
But, one question, where are they now ?
